  常州工学院是国家教育部批准成立的一所全日制公办普通本科高校，创建于1978年。学校所在地常州市位于江苏省南部、长三角城市群中心地带，是一座有3200多年历史的文化古城，又是一座充满现代气息、经济发达的新兴工业城市。与上海、南京两大都市等距相望，火车1小时即可抵达。交通便利，有机场、高铁及高速公路通往全国各地。学校现有辽河路校区、巫山路校区、会馆浜路继续教育学院和长江路科技产业园，总占地面积近1300亩，教学、科研、生活、运动设施完善、功能齐全。学校现有教职工1100余人，普通全日制在校学生近1.5万人，设有18个教学单位，开设54个本科专业，是一所以工科为主，工学、理学、管理学、经济学、文学、教育学、艺术学 7 大学科门类协调发展、综合性较强的多科性大学。在中国新建应用型本科高校（693所）教师教学发展指数、科研竞争力排行榜及发明专利排行榜中位列第18位、26位和24位。

Founded in 1978, Changzhou Institute of Technology (herein referred to as CIT) is a regular full-time undergraduate institution of higher learning approved by Ministry of Education in China. It is located in the ancient town Changzhou, which is in the south of Jiangsu Province with a history of over 3,200 years.It is now a modern and newly developed industrial city with advanced economy. It is the neighbor city of Shanghai and Nanjing, which takes a one-hour train ride. The city enjoys convenient transportation facilities such as airports, high speed train and expressways leading to cities all over China. The campuses of CIT include Liao He Road Campus, Wu Shan Road Campus, Hui Guan Bang Road Campus (School of Continuing Education) and Science and Technology Industrial Park on Chang Jiang Road with a total area of about 87 hectares. The campuses have well-equipped teaching, scientific research, living, and sports facilities. There are more than 1,100 staff members and around 15,000 full-time students. It has 18 teaching sections offering 54 undergraduate programs. It is a multidisciplinary university characterized by engineering with the harmonious development of engineering, sciences, management, economics, humanities, education and arts. Among the 693 newly constructed Practice-oriented undergraduate universities in China, CIT ranks No. 18, No.26, and No. 24 respectively in Teachers’ Teaching Development Index, List of Scientific Research Competitiveness, and List of Patents for Invention.

学校大力推进国际化发展，积极开展对外交流与合作，与美国、英国、丹麦、新西兰、韩国等20个国家和地区的50多所院校建立了长期友好合作关系，在学术交流、科研合作、学分互认、合作办学等领域开展教育合作。学校设有“对外汉语教学中心”，拥有一流的对外汉语教学师资。学校自1994年起开始招收外国留学生，已培养了来自亚洲、欧洲、美洲等52个国家的近2000名外国留学生，是“常州市外国人中华文化培训基地”和“常州市外国人汉语言文化学习中心”，是江苏省教育厅认定为“留学江苏”目标学校。2019年，学校被评为江苏省来华留学生教育先进集体。

CIT takes an active part in international exchange and cooperation as well as promoting internationalization. It has established long-term and friendly relationships with more than 50 overseas universities in 20 countries such as America, the United Kingdom, Denmark, New Zealand, Korea, etc., undertaking cooperation in various fields such as academic exchange, scientific research, credit recognition, cooperatively-run programs, etc. CIT boasts “Learning Center of Chinese Language” with advanced teaching staff. CIT started enrolling foreign students in 1994 and has cultivated nearly 2,000 foreign students from 52 countries in Asia, Europe, and America. It is “Changzhou Chinese Culture Training Center for Foreigners”, “Changzhou Learning Center of Chinese Language & Culture for Foreigners” and was awarded “Study in Jiangsu” target school by Provincial Education Department. CIT was awarded “Jiangsu Advanced Team in Foreign Students’ Education” in 2019.

School of International Cooperation is responsible for the recruitment and cultivation of foreign students. It owns a professional team of teaching, management and service staff, who provide all kinds of assistance. A number of local industries with relevant majors and needs are chosen as foreign students’ internship places to enhance students’ practical abilities, master professional knowledge and learn about Chinese enterprises’ culture. They aim at the success of every foreign student. 

1.本科学历生项目（汉语授课） Undergraduate Degree Programs (taught in Chinese)

（1）学校采取双学期制：第1学期为9月至次年1月，第2学期为2月至7月。

CIT takes a two-semester system: The first semester is from September to January the following year and the second semester is from February to July.

（2）本科学历生项目标准学制为4年或5年。学校实行学分制管理和弹性学习年限，留学生在各专业人才培养方案所规定的标准学制年限基础上，可提前、推迟或分阶段完成学业，最长修业年限不超过8年。学生修满规定的总学分和各类学分，达到毕业要求，可准予毕业，发给毕业证书，符合学士学位授予条件者可授予其学士学位。

It’s a four-year or five-year program. Credit management system and flexible period of schooling are adopted to allow students to finish studies ahead of schedule, postpone or finish studies in stages based on the standard study length stipulated in Talent Cultivation Plan. The study duration can be no longer than eight years. Students will be conferred graduation certificate upon obtaining the required total credits, prescribed credits and meeting the graduation requirements. Those who meet the requirements for the degree will be conferred bachelor’s degree certificate.

（3）学生进入专业学习的中文能力要求达到《国际汉语能力标准》四级。无汉语基础或汉语达不到专业学习要求的学生入学后需先进行汉语强化学习。

Students who reach International Chinese Proficiency Standard level 4 can start major study. Those who have not acquired basic Chinese or do not meet the requirements for major study need to strengthen their Chinese learning after enrollment.

（4）学校向留学生开放的专业列表如下，进入专业学习的留学生以插班形式与同专业中国学生班级合班学习。

2.“专转本”项目（汉语授课）Upgrade from Vocational College to University Program (taught in Chinese)

该项目为我校与高职院校联合开展，选拔优秀专科留学生转入我校本科专业学习（以下简称“专转本”）。项目采用“3+2”模式，即3年专科阶段学习合格后，进入我校进行2年本科学习。学生学习期满，各科成绩合格，可获得本科毕业证书；符合学校学位授予条件的，可获得学士学位证书。详细信息可登录http://fao.czu.cn/_t208/4717/list.psp查阅《常州工学院2020年“专转本”留学生招生简章》。

    CIT jointly carries out “3+2” Upgrade from Vocational College to University Program with higher vocational colleges, that is, students who have successfully completed 3-year vocational college courses can transfer to CIT for 2 years’ full-time bachelor education. Students with all the courses successfully completed within the regulated period will be conferred a diploma and students meeting CIT’s degree awarding requirements will get the bachelor’s degree. 3.非学历生项目 Non-degree Programs

（1）预科生项目（Preparatory Undergraduate Program）

招收拟就读我校本科学历生项目、但无汉语基础或汉语能力未达到专业学习要求的学生。预科学习一般为1年，主要课程包括：汉语综合、汉语口语、汉语听力、汉字读写、HSK考试强化训练等。

The Preparatory Undergraduate Program recruits students who want to study in CIT’s undergraduate programs without Chinese language foundation or fail to meet the language requirements for major study. The school duration is one year, offering courses such as Intensive Chinese Language, Spoken Chinese, Chinese Listening, Chinese Reading & Writing, and HSK Test Intensive Training etc.

（2）汉语言学习长期项目 Long-term Program for Chinese Language Study

培养学生的汉语听、说、读、写能力，提高留学生的跨文化交际能力。课程学习时间一般为1学期至2年。根据学生的中文水平分为不同的班级，每班人数一般为10~15人。主要课程包括：综合汉语、汉语口语、汉语听力、HSK考试强化训练、中国文化等。参加所有课程并通过考试的学生可以在完成课程后获得学习证书。

The program aims at training students’ Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing competence as well as improving their cross-cultural communication competences with the course learning period being one to four semesters. Students will be divided into different classes according to their Chinese levels with the class size being 10-15 students per class. Courses mainly include Comprehensive Chinese, Spoken Chinese, Chinese Listening, HSK Exam Intensive Training, Chinese Culture, etc. Students attending all the courses and passing all the exams will get Study Certificate upon successful completion of all the courses.

（3）汉语言学习短期项目 Short-term Program for Chinese Language Study

该项目是为希望了解中国文化和学习汉语的留学生设计的短期学习项目，一般在寒假或暑假进行，课程学习时间为1~4周。课程设置中，上午一般为汉语口语和汉语听力课程，下午是选修课或走访参观。选修课程包括中国文化、武术、中国民乐、中国画、中国书法等；走访参观的地点包括常州市及周边城市的工厂、博物馆、文化名胜区和历史遗迹等。

The program is designed for foreign students who want to learn about Chinese culture and study Chinese language with the period being 1-4 weeks, normally in winter or summer vacation. Spoken Chinese and Chinese Listening are offered in the morning and elective courses or visiting are arranged in the afternoon. Elective courses mainly include Chinese Culture, Kongfu, Chinese Folk Music, Chinese Painting, Chinese Calligraphy etc. Visiting places mainly include factories, museums, scenic spots, historic sites etc. in or around Changzhou city.

1.留学江苏政府奖学金   Jiangsu Government Scholarship

江苏省人民政府设有“留学江苏政府奖学金”，通过在江苏招收外国留学生的高校推选并发放，主要用于奖励和资助品学兼优的学历留学生。

Jiangsu Provincial Government has set up “Jiangsu Government Scholarship” to give financial assistance and awards to excellent students from other countries. The scholarship candidates will be nominated and scholarship will be awarded according to the recommendations of their recruiting institutions.

我校设有“常州工学院留学生校长奖学金”，奖励对象为申请到我校就读本科项目的优秀留学生。

CIT has set up President Scholarship for Foreign Students to award excellent students who apply for bachelor’s degree programs in CIT.

3.常州工学院优秀留学生奖学金 Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students in CIT

为激励在校留学生认真学习、全面发展、立志成为优秀人才，我校特设立“常州工学院优秀留学生奖学金”，奖励对象为在我校学习一年以上的学历留学生。奖学金评定的主要依据为：基本素质、学习成绩和创新能力、校内外综合表现等，奖金额为9000元，获奖人数不超过学年正式注册自费留学生数的20%（优秀留学生奖学金与留学生单项奖学金不可兼得）。

CIT has set up Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students to award foreign undergraduate degree students who have studied in CIT for more than one year so as to encourage them to study hard, do more research, and pursue excellence. The evaluation of scholarship mainly consists of basic qualities, academic records, and creative competence of students. The amount of the scholarship is 9,000RMB with the number of winners no more than 20% of the yearly registered foreign students who pay full tuition (Students who are awarded “Excellent Foreign Students Scholarship” can’t apply for other kinds of individual scholarship).

4.常州工学院留学生单项奖学金 Individual Scholarship for Foreign Students in CIT

（1）学业优秀奖学金Scholarship for Academically Outstanding Foreign Students in CIT

为激励在校留学生认真学习，我校特设立“常州工学院留学生学业优秀奖学金”，奖励对象为在我校学习一年以上的学历留学生。奖学金评定的主要依据为：学年平均学分绩点，分为一、二、三等奖，奖金额分别为6000元、3000元和1000元，获奖比例分别为学年正式注册自费留学生数的5%、10%和20%。

CIT has set up Scholarship for Academically Outstanding Foreign Students to award foreign undergraduate degree students who have studied in CIT for more than one year so as to encourage them to study hard. The evaluation of scholarship mainly depends on students’ average GPA of the academic year. The scholarship is divided into three levels: 5% of students will get the first-class prize of 6,000RMB; 10% of students will get the second-class prize of 3,000RMB; 20% of students will get the third-class prize of 1,000RMB.

（2）综合素质积分奖学金

 Scholarship for Comprehensive Qualities Points of Foreign Students in CIT

为鼓励在校留学生积极参加各级各类科技、体育、文艺或者社会活动，发挥各自专长，促进中外文化交流，我校特设立“常州工学院留学生综合素质积分奖学金”，奖励对象为在我校学习一年以上的学历留学生。奖金额为500元，获奖人数不超过学年正式注册自费留学生数的30%。

CIT has set up Scholarship for Comprehensive Qualities Points of Foreign Students in CIT to award foreign undergraduate degree students who have studied in CIT for more than one year so as to encourage them to take part in different sorts of scientific, sports, art or social activities and full play their talent to promote culture exchange. No more than 30% of the yearly registered foreign students who pay full tuition will get the scholarship of 500 RMB.

（3）HSK奖学金HSK Scholarship

为鼓励在校留学生认真学习汉语、为后续专业学习打下良好的基础，我校设立“常州工学院留学生HSK奖学金”。奖励对象为在我校完成第一年汉语学习，在中国汉语水平考试（HSK）中取得优异成绩的学历留学生，奖金额分别为2000元（通过HSK5及以上）和1000元（通过HSK4）。HSK4奖学金与HSK5奖学金不可兼得。

CIT has set up HSK Scholarship for Foreign Students in CIT so as to encourage them to study Chinese hard which lays a solid foundation for the upcoming professional study. Undergraduate degree students who complete the first year Chinese language study and achieve excellent marks in HSK will get the scholarship of 2000RMB (pass HSK5 or above) and the scholarship of 1000RMB (pass HSK4). HSK 4 and HSK 5 scholarship cannot be won at the same time.

1.申请条件Application Requirements

（1）非中国籍公民，持有外国有效护照（本科学历生项目申请者建议护照有效期至少4年以上），无犯罪记录；

 Non-Chinese citizens with valid foreign passport (applicants for undergraduate degrees are advised to have the passports with at least 4-year validity), and a no criminal record;

（2）身体健康，品行端正，遵守中国法律、法规和学校的规章制度；

 Good health condition and virtuous morality. Comply with Chinese Laws, regulations and rules of CIT;

（3）高中毕业或具有同等学历，成绩良好（本科学历生项目申请者）；

Excellent senior middle school graduates or those with equivalent degrees (applicants for undergraduate degrees);

（4）本科学历生项目申请者年龄一般在25周岁以下；

Applicants for undergraduate degree program normally should be under 25 years old.

（5）选择经管类及理工类专业学生须有一定的数学基础。

Applicants for majors in economics or sciences should have certain mathematical basis.

3.申请方式及时间Application method and time

申请者可于2020年6月30日前，选择以下方式之一进行申请。

Applicants have the following choices to apply before June 30^th, 2020.

（1）将申请材料扫描件发送到admission@oa.czu.cn

（1）用中文或英文按要求填写《常州工学院外国留学生入学申请表》

 Fill in “Admission Application Form for Foreign Students, Changzhou Institute of Technology” in Chinese or English according to the requirements.

（2）白底近期免冠证件照

Recently taken bareheaded photo with white background

（3）相关护照复印件（护照个人信息页；若有在华学习经历，需提供在华学习签证信息页及居留许可信息页）

Copy of passport (pages with personal information. For those who have study experiences in China, the study visa information page in China and residence permit information page are required)

（4）最高学历证明及成绩单（如果是除中文或英文以外的其他语言文本，还需提交中文或英文翻译件，并进行公证）

 Certificate of highest diploma and transcripts (submit translated versions in Chinese or English and get them notarized if the diploma and transcripts are written in other languages)

（5）申请人如果是在校学生或在职工作，需提交本人就读学校或工作单位出具的在读证明或在职证明（如果是除中文或英文以外的其他语言文本，还需提交中文或英文翻译件，并进行公证）

If applicants are students or people in service, they should submit certificates provided by their school or workplace (submit translated versions in Chinese or English and get them notarized if certificates are written in other languages)

（6）汉语水平证书或进修证明（如有）

Certificates of Chinese language Level or Advanced Study (if any)

（7）无犯罪记录证明（如果是除中文或英文以外的其他语言文本，还需提交中文或英文翻译件，并进行公证）

Certificate of No Criminal Record (submit translated versions in Chinese or English and get them notarized if certificates are written in other languages)

（8）未满18周岁未成年申请人，需填写《未满18周岁来华留学生学习担保函》（登录学校网站下载），提供在华学习期间担保人相关信息。

Applicants under the age of 18 should fill in “Letter of Guarantee for Students under 18 to Study in China” (download from CIT’s website) and provide guarantor’s personal information.

5.申请流程 Application Process

第一步：申请学生将上述所有申请材料发送至招生专用邮箱admission@oa.czu.cn；

Step 1: Submit all required application materials mentioned above.

第二步：国际交流学院审核申请材料，在3-5个工作日内通过邮件向符合条件的申请者发送电子版录取通知书；

Step 2: School of International Cooperation will review the application materials and email letter of admission to qualified applicants within three to five working days.

第三步：被录取者在10个工作日内向我校账户汇入人民币500元报名费，汇款附言请注明申请人姓名、护照号。被录取者将汇款回执扫描件发送到admission@oa.czu.cn；

 Step 3: Successful applicants remit 500 RMB application fee to CIT’s bank account within 10 working days with the names and passport numbers of the applicants being enclosed. Successful applicants scan the remittance receipt and email it to admission@oa.czu.cn.

第四步：我校在确认收到报名费后，将使用EMS将录取通知书、签证申请表（JW202）和报到须知等材料原件根据申请者提供的通讯地址寄出，请注意查收；

Step 4: CIT will mail the original letter of admission, visa application form（JW202）and registration notice etc. to the addresses provided by applicants via EMS or DHL. Please check and find the materials enclosed.

第五步：被录取者凭录取通知书原件、“JW202”表及其他必备材料至所在国的中国使（领）馆申请来华学习签证（X1签证）；

Step 5：Successful applicants go to the Chinese Embassy in their countries and apply for visa for study in China (X1 visa) with the original letter of admission, “JW202” form and other required materials.

第六步：被录取者准备入境，并将到校的相关信息告知学校；

Step 6: Successful applicants prepare to enter China and inform CIT of the arrival information.

注：学生可在入境前将学费、住宿费、保险费等提前汇至学校账户，汇款时请在汇款附言中注明申请人姓名、护照号。

Note: Students may remit tuition fee, accommodation fee, insurance fee, etc. to CIT’s band account before entering China with the names and passport numbers of the applicants being enclosed.

生活费：约1000元/月（根据个人消费情况不同）
